The town of Megève (10 minute's drive), is famous for its pretty, medieval streets and traditional architecture. There is a wide range of restaurants, cafes and bars to suit all ages and budgets. For self-catering, there are several supermarkets and grocery shops, as well as the farmers market every Sunday in Place de lEglise, where you can find the best local produce and regional specialities. The town hosts the International Jazz Festival in July, which attracts major artists from all around the world. This is followed in August by a classical music festival, the Estivales Megève.
