This ten-day voyage circumnavigates Spitsbergen, deep in the realm of the polar bear and the ice. Along the way there are chances to encounter the King of the Arctic, as well as walrus, reindeer, various bird species and a surprisingly beautiful flora.
Near the mouth of Liefdefjorden you go ashore for a walk on the tundra of Reindyrsflya, and sailing into the fjord the ship cruises near the impressive face of the Monaco Glacier. The waters at the glacier front are a favourite feeding spot for thousands of kittiwakes, and polar bears are occasionally seen on the ice. A true high-Arctic adventure.
