Tenerife
The largest Canary Island offers beach weather in winter, Spanish culture and Spain's highest peak — the Teide volcano.
Informazioni su Tenerife
Tenerife is an island of contrasts. The sunny, dry south (Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos) has the resorts, pools and reliable warmth that make it so popular in winter; the greener, wetter north revolves around the elegant town of Puerto de la Cruz, banana plantations and historic La Laguna. In the centre rises Teide National Park — a lunar landscape of lava with the 3,715-metre volcano, reachable by cable car.
The magic is the climate: at twenty degrees, January is simply beach weather, making Tenerife a true year-round destination. Whale-watching off the south coast, star-filled skies by Teide and black volcanic beaches make it more than just sun and sea.
☀ year-round; warm and sunny even in winter
