About Cala Ratjada

Cala Ratjada is a town in Llevant, the northeast region of the island of Mallorca. It's on a rocky peninsula with beaches to the north and south, and has a resident population of about 6500. It's a family-friendly place, and popular with German and British pensioners. Capdepera inland was the original settlement, rebuilt after 1300 when Jaume I wrested the island from the Moors.
